Divorce Costs
Our charges for dealing with a straightforward divorce are £500 + VAT. We appreciate that offering a fixed price helps clients budget for fees. We fully understand that concerns over family finances cause a huge amount of anxiety and we provide a cost effective service. There is a court fee of £612 payable when submitting the divorce application to court so your total costs for divorce proceedings would usually be £500 + VAT plus £612. If your ex spouse refused to acknowledge service of the divorce application, there may be a need for arrangements to be made to have them served personally with the divorce application paperwork. If this is the case, there will be some additional fees relating to this extra step, although those fees would be kept to a minimum and required next steps would be explained to you before they are taken.
Where a financial settlement has been reached following breakdown of marriage, and a consent order is to be filed with the court for approval and sealing, we can offer fixed fees regarding that process.
